Garden Route TOUR ITINERARY
DAY ONE:
Your tour will depart from Cape Town city and head east to Hermanus. Continue onto the town of Swellendam before entering the area known as the "Little Karoo" Dinner and overnight on an Ostrich Farm in the Ostrich Capital, outside Oudtshoorn. Dinner will be ostrich Cuisine at its best.
DAY TWO:
After exploring the vast limestone caverns known as the Cango Caves, the tour continues to the Cango Wildlife Ranch-internationally recognized for its far-reaching conservation efforts. Then on to the Ostrich Show Farm for a guided tour. Travel on through the scenic Outeniqua Pass (Stop and have our first look at the Indian Ocean) and drive through the beautiful town of George on our way to Wilderness where we book in at our Hotel. We then wet our feet in the Indian Ocean while walking on a beautiful sandy beach. before dinner. Overnight in Wilderness.
DAY THREE:
Travel to Knysna aboard the Outeniqua Choo Tjoe Train or visit Belvidere Church in Knysna and walk to "The Heads" and take a Lagoon Cruise and 4x4 tour and 1-hour Hike at Featherbed Nature Reserve -see the blue duiker. After lunch we return by ferry to Knysna Waterfront. We enjoy the shops and atmosphere of Knysna before continuing to the seaside town of Plettenberg Bay (Formosa Bay) for overnight.
DAY FOUR:
The journey continues eastward, through the Tsitsikamma Forests and across dramatic river gorges (The Bloukrans Pass and Stormsriver Bridge) to Port Elizabeth, one of South Africa`s major ports. You will be dropped off at Port Elizabeth Airport in time for your flight.

DAY ONE:
Report to Johannesburg International Airport to check in for your flight to Port Elizabeth. Port Elizabeth-Garden Route & Little Karoo. On arrival in Port Elizabeth you will start your travel by heading westwards, soon reaching Tsitsikamma Mountains and indigenous forests. On arrival in Plettenberg Bay you will spend the afternoon at leisure to enjoy the beautiful beaches. Dinner and overnight in Plettenberg Bay.
DAY TWO: Garden Route
Travel to Knysna, where there will be time to enjoy the shops and atmosphere of this lovely town before enjoying a lagoon cruise on Knysna Lagoon, as well as a 4x4 guided tour and 1 hour hiking tour at Featherbed Nature Reserve. After lunch travel aboard the Outeniqua Choo Tjoe steam train to the lakelands (subject to train running) of Wilderness for dinner and overnight.
DAY THREE: Little Karoo
Travel through the Outeniqua Pass to Oudtshoorn where we visit an Ostrich Farm for a specialist guided tour. We visit the Cango Wildlife Ranch for a specialist guided tour. Lunch in Oudtshoorn, offering the opportunity to do shopping. We then visit the world renowned Cango Caves witnessing the most spectacular drip stone formations. Dinner and overnight on an Ostrich Farm with superb Ostrich Cuisine Dinner. An additional option could be a visit to a 62 meter drop waterfall (Time permitting).
DAY FOUR: Oudtshoorn to Cape Town
After breakfast we travel through the "Little Karoo" towards Cape Town. After lunch we travel via the beautiful Tradoux Pass to Swellendam where we visit the Oude Drosdy Museam Complex. We continue our journey to Cape Town. We stop at Sir Lowry`s Pass to appreciate the stunning view from the pass. Drop off in Cape Town- late afternoon.

DAY ONE:
Leave Cape Town via N1 and Du Toitskloof Pass to Worcester. Do a Karoo Botanical Garden Drive (only during flower season), as well as Church Street and surrounds (Cape Dutch and Victorian Houses)in Worcester and School of the Blind Neighborhood. Visit Klein Plasie Open Air Museum and, after coffee, leave for Robertson, Ashton, Montagu and lunch in Barrydale. After lunch drive via the Huisriver Pass to Calitzdorp and Oudtshoorn. Book in at Guest House/Farm/Hotel and enjoy traditional Ostrich Cuisine for dinner.
DAY TWO:
Visit Cango Caves and Crocodile Ranch and have lunch in Oudtshoorn. After lunch visit Ostrich Farm and drive to George and Knysna. Book in at Guest House/Hotel in Knysna.
DAY THREE:
Take Ferry to Featherbed Nature Reserve and do a guided 4x4-excursion and spectacular walk in the Reserve. Lunch at the Reserve Restaurant. Take ferry back to Knysna Waterfront, visit "The Heads" and Belvidere Church and drive to Wilderness for overnight and dinner at Hotel or sleep over another night in Knysna.
DAY FOUR:
Leave for Mossel Bay and visit the Diaz Museum Complex. Visit the Khoi-Village and after a visit to Bat`s Cave return to Cape Town. Light lunch in Heidelberg. Visit Drosdy Museum Complex in Swellendam and drive to Cape Town via Caledon.

DAY ONE:
Your tour will depart from Cape Town City via Paarl and cross the picturesque Du Toitskloof Pass (Photo-stop on the mountain to appreciate the stunning Paarl Valley down below) to Worcester where we visit Klein Plasie Open Air Museum (Depicting the lifestyle of the early settlers). We travel through the Hex River Valley to the summit of the Hex River Pass into the Semi-Desert Karoo, the largest ecosystem in South Africa. Visit Matjiesfontein, a well-presented and isolated Victorian Village. The spectacular Swartberg Mountain Pass follows (The most spectacular pass in South Africa), en route to our overnight on an Ostrich Farm in The Cango Valley outside Oudtshoorn.
DAY TWO:
We visit the world-renowned Cango Caves where we witness the stunning dripstone formations. An optional visit to a 62-meter drop waterfall is an extra whereafter we visit the Cheetah & Crocodile Ranch. Lunch is in Oudtshoorn. We visit the Safari Ostrich Farm for a specialist guided tour where after we leave for George after crossing the beautiful Outeniqua Pass for our first glimpse of the Indian Ocean. Overnight in Wilderness.
DAY THREE:
We take the Outeniqua Choo-Tjoe Train to Knysna and have lunch on the Knysna Lagoon while enjoying the most picturesque views from the Ferry. Visit Belvidere Church and wet your feet in the Indian Ocean or explore the town of Knysna.
DAY FOUR:
We drive to Mossel Bay, where we visit the Diaz Museum Complex, the Khoi Village and Bat`s Cave, the home of the Khoi-Khoi for thousands of years. We continue our journey to Cape Town and stop in Swellendam where we visit the Drosdy Museum Complex. The last part of our journey takes us across Houwhoek Pass, Botriver and Sir Lowry`s Pass where we make our last stop to have a view of the Cape Flats and Cape Town in the distance

DAY ONE: Port Elizabeth & Garden Route.
Pick up at 08h00 and head westwards towards the Tsitsikama Mountains and Indigenous Forests. Storms River Bridge is our first stop- an engineering achievement-ranked as one of the best in the World. We now head for the Tsitsikama National Park for a walk in the forest to the Suspention Bridge. Lunch in the Park. After lunch we take the awesome Bloukrans Pass on the way to Plettenberg Bay. We then visit "Monkeyland" outside the town. In Plettenberg Bay we do a town drive and spend some time on the beach before we book in at an Inn outside the town for dinner and overnight.
DAY TWO: Garden Route.
We leave for Knysna at 08h30 and drive to Knysna Waterfront where we board the Ferry taking us to Featherbed Nature Reserve. We now join a guide on a 4x4 tractor, taking us to "The Heads" offering spectacular views. One-hour walk back (optional) takes us to the restaurant where we enjoy lunch-fish of the day are highly recommended. After lunch the ferry takes us back to Knysna and we spend some time at the Waterfront. We leave for Sedgefield where we board the Outeniqua Choo Tjoe Train(not on a Sunday)taking us to George for Dinner & overnight.
DAY THREE: Little Karoo.
We leave George at 08h30 and drive via the Outeniqua Pass to Oudtshoorn where we visit "Cheetah Wildlife Ranch "The most spectacular Cango Caves follows-a display of the most beautiful dripstone formations. After lunch at the Caves we visit an Ostrich Farm whereafter we book in at a Guest Farm for dinner and overnight (Ostrich Cuisine their specialty).
DAY FOUR: Little Karoo-Mossel Bay
After breakfast we visit the Rust-en-Vrede Waterfall. We stop in the town of Oudtshoorn for shopping and then leave for Mossel Bay via the Robinson Pass. After lunch in the town we visit the Diaz Museum Complex, tour the town and book in at our guesthouse. Overnight and dinner in Mossel Bay.
DAY FIVE: Mossel Bay to Cape Town
After breakfast we leave for Cape Town and visit an Aloe Factory on the way. In Swellendam we stop for a visit to the Drosdy Museum Complex. The road now leads us via the Houwhoek- and Sir Lowry`s Passes to Cape Town
