Nestling beneath a blanket of Knobthorn trees rests Chitwa Safari Lodge, originally a hunting lodge. In unwavering African tradition, the cottages at Safari Lodge are thatched, creating a bond with their surroundings. Its charm lies in that it has remained small and intimate, accommodating a maximum of ten guests in five chalets. Relaxed and in harmony with its surroundings, Safari Lodge is enjoyed for its rich diversity of animal and bird life which can be easily observed from each cottage.
There are a few that can't resist the call of the South African sunrise, or that of a magnificent fish eagle as it soars through the hazy, cloudless skies. But for the real African experience, nothing compares to the exhilaration of a game drive through the bush in an open-topped Land Rover, guided by our staff whose passion for the area is infectious.
